My name is Emma Carson and I am a second year ordinand at CITI. I’m originally from Lisburn but have lived in Edinburgh and in Belfast. I worked as a primary school teacher before following the call to ordained ministry. My sponsoring Diocese is Down and Dromore and I attend both Willowfield Parish and Braniel Community Church.
I am in the first year of the part–time, option B of the MTh, validated by Trinity College Dublin. I am married and have two children.
I was ordained a deacon in Christ Church Cathedral in Dublin on 18 September 2016. I am serving as a deacon intern on a part–time basis in the All Saints Raheny and St John the Evangelist Coolock Union of Parishes on the north side of Dublin working with Rev. Norman McCausland and Canon Aisling Shine
I am a lifelong member of St John’s Church in Rathfriland, Co Down. My involvement with my local church began when I became a member of the church choir and was continued through to my time as a Sunday School Teacher. I was church organist for twelve years at Ballyward Church, Rathfriland.
My name is Trevor Sargent and I am in third year of the MTh course here in the Church of Ireland Theological Institute. I am a deacon–intern in the Tullow Group of Parishes, since my ordination in Shillelagh, Co. Wicklow, in August.
I am 22 years old and in my first year of training for ordination. I am originally from rural Armagh, and I attend St John’s Parish Church, Mullabrack. It was during my studies in Medicine at Dundee where I first felt the calling to ordained ministry.
