‘Perspectives on Pastoral Ministry’ Book Launch
A new publication entitled ‘Perspectives on Pastoral Ministry’ by Rev’d Canon Dr Maurice Elliott and Rev’d Dr Patrick McGlinchey was officially launched in CITI on Monday 18th May by Rt Rev’d Ian Ellis, The book completes a three–volume series. The earlier titles of which considered Preaching and Spirituality & Prayer.
Speaking at the launch Bishop Ian Ellis commented, ‘What this book does so well is to ground pastoral practice with a theological underpinning. It brings together the best of Anglicanism and other church practices of pastoral care and incorporated these with theological insights. It is also an inspiration to better and more wide–ranging pastoral practice.
I warmly commend this book and I hope that theological students, clergy and others find in reading it, a fuller revelation of our calling to be shepherds of the flock of Christ’.
