Launch of Dr Patrick McGlinchey’s book, Ratzinger’s Augustinianism and Evangelicalism: An Exploration in Ecumenical Rapprochement (Studies in Christian History and Thought) (Paternoster, 2017)

On Wednesday 5 April, in the Church of Ireland Theological Institute, Revd Professor Stephen N. Williams (Union Theological College, Belfast) launched Dr Patrick McGlinchey monograph Ratzinger’s Augustinianism and Evangelicalism: An Exploration in Ecumenical Rapprochement (Studies in Christian History and Thought). It was a celebratory occasion which was attended by a large audience.

The book is an exploration on whether the theology of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI (Joseph Ratzinger) provides an unexpected bridge to the evangelical tradition. It was described by one reviewer as a ‘refined, critical, and unflinching analysis of the theology of Joseph Ratzinger.’

The book is available through amazon at https://www.amazon.co.uk/
